Management Skills for Licensed Contractors

Course in Preparation for Owner-Builder Permit

The formal training to gain an Owner-Builder Permit.

Completed Residential Building Inspection Program

Meet the Building Services Authority (BSA) licensing requirements for the Completed Residential Building Inspection Licence. Gain basic skills for registered builders to undertake residential building inspections.

Building Inspection licence.

Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)

Meet the technical qualifications for the Building Services Authority (BSA) Builder - Low Rise licence. This program covers building construction theory and practices related to low rise buildings.

Builder, Site Manager, Estimator.

Drafting

Certificate IV in Residential Drafting

This program covers building theory and drafting related to low-rise residential scale buildings. Students are also able to access a Building Design Low-Rise Licence through the Building Services Authority (BSA).

Diploma of Building Design and Technology

This program is designed to develop the required skills, appreciation and understanding of residential, industrial and commercial drafting practices or for persons who are seeking a Building Design - Medium Rise licence through the Building Services Authority (BSA).

Builder, Site Manager, Estimator.

Certificate III in Computer Aided Drafting

This program is designed to meet the needs of people who require skills enhancement using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) within an engineering drawing office environment.

Electrical

Course in Electrical Installation, Inspection and Testing

This course has been designed to review a range of procedures and requirements relating to electrical installations in accordance with Australian Standards and electrical installation, inspection and testing procedures. It is a requirement of the ESO to become a licensed Electrical contractor.

Electrical Contractor.

Electrical Contractors Management Skills

Designed in conjunction with the Queensland Government to provide the learner with the basic skills to manage a successful business as a licensed Electrical Contractor. A requirement of the ESO to become a licensed Electrical contractor.

Engineering

Advanced Diploma of Engineering

Students will study topics including mathematics, science, materials, engineering drawing, graphics, computing, management and maintenance strategies. A comprehensive choice of electives are also available.

Drawing Office Supervisor,research and development placement, and technical training. Industrial supervisors roles.

Pest management

Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Pest Management - Technical)

On successful completion of the course, students can apply to QLD health for a pest control operator's license.

Swimming Pool Plant Operations

Developed with industry to provide training across a range of workplace relevant subjects such as water quality management, pool plant operations, filtration and disinfection, public health in swimming pools and operations management.

Certificate IV in Horticulture (Turf Management)

Focuses on the skills needed to work as an assistant or foreperson in the turf industry.
