Do I need to buy the recommended textbooks?
Yes. If your unit of study has a set textbook, it is essential that you buy it. A set textbook may apply to more than one unit within the course.
Where do I purchase textbooks?
Any bookshop that sells textbooks might be able to order them in for you. Alternatively, there are several bookstores in Brisbane that will take orders via the phone and send the books to you. You need a credit card to do this. Also, try the second-hand bookshops where you live or online, and TAFE noticeboards or other students.
Can I borrow textbooks from the library?
Yes, you may be able to borrow textbooks from your Institute library. Please be aware that the libraries hold a limited numbers of textbooks and there are restrictions on the loan periods.
