Certified documents

What is a certified copy?
A photocopy of the original document which has been cited and signed by a Justice of the Peace or a Commissioner of Declarations.

Why do I need a certified copy of some documents?
For some courses of study you must satisfy the prerequisites and/or legal requirements prior to enrolment. Also, you may need to provide certified copies to support your Recognition of prior learning (RPL) application.

Where can I find a Justice of the Peace or a Commissioner of Declarations?
Your local banks, courthouse, or police station should be able to help you. Alternatively, visit the Queensland Government Department of Justice and Attorney-General site to find a Justice of the Peace in your area.
