TAFE Open Learning worked with personnel from a government department to re-develop a learning and development program for newly-appointed staff members. This program was designed to incorporate face-to-face and distance delivery modes, supported by on-the-job mentors and work-place facilitators. TAFE Open Learning provided expertise in the design of a solution to better equip new employees to carry out their role, and in the development of resources. The departmental staff provided the content expertise and in-depth understanding of the requirements and practicalities of their department. The outcome has been successfully implemented. An evaluation phase has been completed and these learnings are now being incorporated into a revised version of the program. |
